Our story
The name Menart originates from the 19th century, when members of the Podjed family, locally known as Pr' Menart, lived in the house. The homestead is still known by this name today. In the past, it was a fort of Strmol Castle. These forts were used to store crops and tools that were used to supply the castle. Given the size of the property, we can assume that this was one of the larger forts that supplied the castle and its surroundings with wood and agricultural products. There is also a short forest path leading from the property to the castle.
