Apartment 7: Jernej

The Jernej Apartment offers two comfortable bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, ensuring privacy and comfort for guests. The open floor plan of the kitchen, dining room and living area allows for pleasant socializing, while the sauna in the attic offers additional relaxation. The spaces are designed with sophistication and comfort in mind – the interweaving of oak wood with charming details in gold and anthracite gray creates a pleasant and calm atmosphere. Natural wooden floors, wall coverings and furniture add warmth to the space, while gray shades create a modern contrast. A comfortable double bed in the master bedroom and two single beds in the attic ensure a peaceful sleep and quality rest after a long day of exploration or sports activities. The bathrooms offer a relaxing environment, where the lights on the ceiling resemble a starry sky, creating a unique atmosphere. Natural shades, gray ceramics with subtle gold accessories and solid wood contribute to a sense of elegance and comfort.

The apartment is named after Jernej Podjed, the owner of the prˈMenart homestead, who lived in the early 19th century. He was an entrepreneur and wealthy farmer, credited with our direct connection to the history of Strmol Castle, as he supplied its then owners with his crops and livestock. We don’t know much about him, but we can assume that he was dedicated to his work and the homestead, and that it has withstood all the tests of time. We look with gratitude at his legacy, on which our family can build our dreams. We chose gray as the main color to create a modern contrast to the traditional wooden elements, just as our apartments have become a modern contrast to his former homestead.
